A Dream Come True
Clos Galena is the dream Miguel Pérez made a reality in 1999, when he firmly believed in the ecological potential of Priorat’s vineyards. His vision was always to create a sustainable winery that respected the land. Miguel passed away in April 2013, but his drive lives on through his wife, Merche Dalmau, who is now the owner and manager of the winery. With the help of a dedicated team and winemaker Toni Coca, they continue writing this story of passion and excellence.
The combination of a unique terroir, a determined dream, and a committed team has given rise to exceptional wines that capture the essence of Priorat’s culture, land, and landscape.
When Miguel and Merche discovered this region, they fell in love with it. And here they decided to build their project: an ecological and innovative winery in the heart of DOQ Priorat. Their vision gained international recognition on December 10, 2017, when Formiga de Vellut became the first Catalan wine ever served at the Nobel Prize Banquet in over a century — and with the remarkable distinction of a woman leading the winery.
Clos Galena is much more than a winery: it’s a legacy, a tribute to Priorat, and an invitation to share a dream turned into wine.

D.O.Q. Priorat
This is where their most iconic wines are born — marked by the mineral strength of slate and the bold character of steep slopes. All organically and cleanly made, showcasing the true essence of Priorat. These include: Galena, Clos Galena, Formiga de Vellut, Formiga de Seda, and Crossos. -
D.O. Montsant
A natural extension of Priorat with a more Mediterranean feel and lighter soils. Here they tend to old vines with the same care, but the result is fresher, spicier wines. -
D.O. Terra Alta
Under the Secrets de Mar label, Clos Galena produces young Mediterranean wines — fresh, aromatic, made with native varieties like Garnatxa Blanca and Macabeu — designed to charm without pretense.
