Since 1851, Celler De Muller has been writing its story among vineyards and barrels, blending tradition with innovation. Founded by a family of Alsatian origin, the winery was a pioneer in many techniques and even served as the official supplier to the Vatican for decades. Celler De Muller is much more than a winery – it's a journey through time that begins in 1851, when August De Muller, originally from Alsace, recognized the potential of the Tarragona lands to produce wines of exceptional quality. Since then, generations of winemakers and oenologists have nurtured a legacy built on tradition, innovation, and a passion for wine.
Over the years, De Muller has led the way in various areas, including the installation of Spain’s first industrial refrigeration unit to preserve sacramental wines. Its quality and uniqueness earned it the honor of becoming the official supplier to the Vatican for several decades — a distinction that remains a proud part of its identity.
Today, the Martorell family safeguards this winemaking heritage and has brought it to the Mas de Valls estate in Reus. Surrounded by nearly 200 hectares of their own vineyards, their wines are born from the character of the land and a perfect balance of tradition and modernity. Centuries-old foudres, barrels made from various oaks, and state-of-the-art technology coexist in harmony to craft wines under the DO Tarragona and DOQ Priorat, while also preserving their iconic Sacramental Wine.

Your GPS will guide you to Celler De Muller located in El Molar; however, since 1996, De Muller's main operations have been based at its primary winery on the “Mas de Valls” estate in Reus.
